JOEY BARTON's future at Rangers is still unclear despite a meeting with club officials at Ibrox.
The former England man, 34, remains frozen out after being banned by boss Mark Warburton following a training ground row in September.
And his situation was made murkier by a Scottish FA charge for placing 44 bets on games between 1 July and 15 September this year.
Barton and his representative spent almost two hours in talks with the club on Thursday afternoon but there was no change to his situation following the discussions.
The hearing over the betting charge has been put back until 17 November following Barton’s request for more time to prepare a defence.
But he will almost definitely not be appearing in a Rangers shirt until the matter is resolved.
