JAMIE REDKNAPP has revealed Emmanuel Eboue texts him everyday – trying to convert him to Christianity.

The former England international turned pundit, 43, was appearing on the panel show ‘A League of their Own’ when asked about his relationship with the ex-Arsenal defender.

Eboue’s son plays junior football with Redknapp’s boy and the pair have struck up an off-field friendship.

But the Ivory Coast international is trying to help Redknapp better himself – by sending him daily spiritual updates.

These may range from a bible passage, or an uplifting quote that Eboue feels will give the ex-Spurs man a smile.

Redknapp revealed: “He sent this: The quote of the day, ‘Do you think you’ve failed?’

“With God, it is never too late for a new start.”

Eboue is currently without a club after being released by Sunderland at the end of the year – without making a single appearance.

He went to join Galatasary after leaving Arsenal following an injury-laden six years with the club, where he was a fan favourite.
