JOE HART’S blunder set Inter Milan on their way to a morale-boosting win.

Like Inter earlier in the season, AC Milan showed just why Juventus are such heavy favourites to win a sixth-consecutive Serie A title as they failed to kick on from a victory over the champions.

Vincenzo Montella’s men had moved to within two points of the league leaders after their 1-0 victory — but went down 3-0 at Genoa just three days later.

Defender, Gabriel Paletta, lost his head with a reckless challenge which saw him given a straight red card.

While Juventus against bounced straight back to make it 34 wins in their last 38 matches.

Mario Mandzukic stepped up in the absence of injured Paulo Dybala to open the scoring on four minutes, before the champions ran riot against Sampdoria — winning 4-1.

Roma are still hot their heels, however, after coming from behind to beat Sassuolo 3-1.

Paolo Cannavaro — Fabio’s brother — put the hosts ahead before Edin Dzeko netted his seventh and eight goals of the season to extend his lead at the top of the scoring charts.

The Giallorossi remain just two points behind Juventus, but it wasn’t all good news at the Mapei Stadium, as Alessandro Florenzi left the pitch in tears after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.

Napoli leapfrogged Milan into third place as they start to recapture their form following the devastating loss of Arkadiusz Milik to a long-term knee injury.

Goals from Dries Mertens and former Tottenham defender, Vlad Chiriches secured a 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, former giants Lazio remain on course for a first Champions League appearance since 2007 following a 4-1 victory over Cagliari.

In-form Ciro Immobile bagged a brace, while Felipe Anderson also found the back of the net.

Keita Balde Diao had earlier opened the scoring.

Serie A debutants Crotone earned only their second point of the season at Fiorentina, in a match that looked certain to be called off following a lengthy rain delay.

Davide Astori’s 85th-minute leveller prevented them going home with all three points.

After a flying start to the campaign, Chievo’s 1-1 draw with Bologna makes it three games without a win.

While Atalanta’s win at Pescara lifts them up sixth.

Palermo welcome Udinese to Sicily tonight.
