MANCHESTER UNITED'S reward for beating Manchester City is a home tie against West Ham United in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.

Arsenal were drawn to play Southampton at The Emirates.

Liverpool have been handed a home tie against Leeds United. Hull City will host near-neighbours Newcastle United. The ties will be played in week commencing November 28.

In tonight's (Wednesday) EFL Cup games, West Ham defeated Chelsea 2-1 thanks to goals from Cheikhou Kouyaté and Edimilson Fernandes. Gary Cahill scored a late consolation for Antonio Conte's side. The tie was marred by crowd violence that saw chairs ripped out and used as missiles.

Last night (Tuesday) Arsenal defeated Reading 2-0 with a brace from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Newcastle were the big winners as they hammered Preston 6-0, with Hull and Liverpool also triumphing.

Leeds defeated Norwich 3-2 on a penalty shoot-out after the two sides drew 2-2 after extra-time.
