Jose Mourinho vs Antonio Conte: Man Utd boss backed by Vicente del Bosque after Chelsea manager clash

FORMER Spain boss Vicente del Bosque has taken Jose Mourinho’s side after the Special One’s run-in with Antonio Conte.

Mourinho was unhappy with his counterpart celebrating Chelsea’s resounding 4-0 win over Manchester United.

And at the final whistle, the Portuguese tactician got hold of Conte and didn’t hold back in front of watching cameras.

Many feel Mourinho overreacted to the situation, with the ex-Blues boss guilty of rubbing it in people’s faces numerous times.

But Del Bosque reckons Mourinho had a point, explaining he too was unhappy with Conte’s reactions when Italy dumped Spain out of Euro 2016 in June

He said: “It did not seem like a wrong message from Mourinho to Conte.

“Sometimes [Conte] has to be a little more considerate when he celebrates victories. I was also hurt when we played against Italy.

“I’m not saying don’t express joy, there’s no need to be as dull as me, but express a moderate joy.

“It is not that I am a defender of Mourinho, but he had a point.”
