Manchester United star Marcus Rashford hoping to fulfil boyhood dream against Manchester City
MANCHESTER UNITED sensation Marcus Rashford is desperate to score his “dream goal” against neighbours City in the EFL Cup.
The Red Devils welcome their bitter rivals to Old Trafford on Wednesday evening as they lock horns for a spot in the last eight.
Hotshot Rashford, who has scored 12 goals since bursting onto the scene in February, already has one goal against Pep Guardiola’s side to his name.

The 18-year-old striker grabbed the winner for United at City back in last season’s Premier League match at the Etihad.
And although that moment is undoubtedly the highlight of his Red Devils career so far, the England international hopes the Theatre of Dreams lives up to its name as he looks to fulfil another fantasy.

Asked to name his dream goal, Rashford told Inside United magazine: “It would be a home goal against City, definitely.
“Scoring away was a massive moment as well for me, so I can only imagine what a home goal would be like."
Rashford’s strike against City won United’s Goal of the Season award last campaign, and remembering the finish brings back a lot of fond memories for the ace.
He added: "The game was quite an even one so it could have gone either way.
“We were attacking and then they were attacking. They had a bit more of the ball but they weren’t really threatening us. There were two times before when I got on a one-v-one with him [Martin Demichelis] and he just nicked the ball off me. I knew what I needed to do the next time I got the ball so I did it.
“Then I was against the keeper [Joe Hart] and it was just about relaxing, composing myself and that was what I did. After it went in, the fans were too far away but it was a good feeling with everyone coming towards you. To win the game 1-0 as well, to hold out as a team was a good feeling.”
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic currently on a barren run and doubts about Wayne Rooney’s fitness, Rashford is set to be given the nod to lead United’s attack tomorrow.
