THIS is the hilarious and embarrassing moment a professional footballer gets his head stuck in his shirt as he tries to take it off to celebrate scoring a goal.

The 43-year-old Italian manager masterminded the victory as his Chinese League One side Tianjin Quajian beat Meizhou Hakka 3-0 and earned a place in next season’s Super League.

Tianjin player Zhao Xuri, 30, bagged the second goal of the day for the home side and decided to take off his sky-blue shirt to celebrate winning the championship.

The scene was reminiscent of when Sergio Aguero bagged the winner for Manchester City and won the Premier League in 2012 - only it did not quite go as planned.

After the easy 43rd-minute tap-in, he began to remove his shirt but bizarrely it became stuck around his neck and then his nose.

Zhao started to grimace as he struggled before the camera then cut to the jubilant crowd in the Haihe Educational Football Stadium in China’s north-eastern Tianjin Municipality.

Despite the embarrassing struggle, Zhao still eventually managed to take his shirt off and subsequently get booked by the referee, as per the rules of the beautiful game.

The final result meant the first-placed team got the vital three points they needed, as second-placed Guizhou Zhicheng and third-placed Qingdao Huanghai had accumulated the same amount of points but lost out on goal difference.

Post-match footage showed manager Cannavaro - considered one of the greatest defenders of all time - raise his fists to the sky before his entire team piled together and jumped up and down in sheer joy.

Tianjin Quanjian will play in the Chinese Super League in 2017 and face teams managed by the likes of ex-England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and former Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.
