Chelsea legend Frank Lampard celebrates as New York City qualify for the MLS playoffs
Veteran midfielder enjoyed double success with his former club closing the gap on Manchester City

FRANK LAMPARD led the celebrations as his New York City side qualified for the playoffs.
On a day when his old side Chelsea thumped Manchester United 4-0, the MLS side also scored four against Toronto to ensure NYCFC earned a first round bye.
The veteran midfielder, who has eventually become a fan favourite with the American club, took to Instagram to celebrate on the pitch of the Yankee Stadium.

Standing with his arms in the air alongside his two daughters, he wrote: "Great result last night! Amazing atmosphere and thanks to the fans for all their support this season.
"Now for the play offs."
NYCFC will take on either Toronto FC, DC United or Montreal Impact in the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
The Chelsea legend was once described as 'the worst signing in MLS history' however alongside the likes of Andrea Pirlo, David Villa and with Patrick Vieira in charge, he has scored 11 goals in 21 matches and is a contender to win the Player of the Year award.

Meanwhile Lampard has his own aspirations for when he finally hangs up his boots.
The 38-year-old will start taking his coaching badges once his playing days are over and hopes to be manager of Chelsea one day.
He said: "If I was good enough, if they wanted me and it was the right time.
“As a Chelsea man or not, the job is one of the pinnacles of football, they are one of the top clubs in the world now. And I’m a Chelsea man. I wouldn’t have to move house!
“It might be a different route for me and might take a while but the dream would be to manage Chelsea one day.”
