Pep Guardiola: Manchester City boss’ failure to communicate with players revealed by former Bayern Munich star

THE reason behind Pep Guardiola’s lack of communication with his players has finally been revealed.

The Manchester City boss has been accused numerous times of failing to talk to sidelined stars at former clubs Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

Benatia, now playing at Juventus under Max Allegri, told print edition: “They [Guardiola and Allegri] want you to play, be aggressive, to have the ball.

“Temperamentally they are different. Allegri is closer to the players, Guardiola does not communicate.

“He explained why to me once: he was disappointed by his relationship with some players at Barcelona, so he told me, ‘I just do my job – the coach’s’.”
