Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp refuses to start war of words with Jose Mourinho after Manchester United boss blamed him for dull 0-0

JURGEN KLOPP has refused to get drawn into a war of words with Jose Mourinho over Manchester United’s negative tactics in their goal-less draw at Anfield.

The Liverpool boss said he was “not one per cent interested” in discussing who was to blame for the bore draw, despite Mourinho’s attempts to deflect criticism onto the home team.

Mourinho said Liverpool’s failure to manage more than two shots on target despite enjoying 65 per cent of the possession was “their problem, not ours”.

And the United manager followed up by sarcastically suggesting Liverpool deserved as much praise as his team for their defensive efforts, especially after playing two holding midfielders in Jordan Henderson and Emre Can.

But Klopp dismissed those comments, saying: “I am not interested in it. I thought the game was over – so why should I talk about it still?

“I don’t care what anybody says after the game. I know the game already and I know what I have to learn off it. Don’t bother me with things like that. I am not one per cent interested.

“You cannot win the game after the game, which was something I have learned early on in my career. We have a point, and it felt positive because it was one more than we had before the game.

“We had worst results in the past and I am fine. It was a good experience for us. We were not perfect. That is all.”
