After all, it must be quite unnerving for the taker to be faced with such intimidating, stellar faces as he stands over a free kick.
Here are our very own Seven Wonders of the football world.
AC Milan: Demetrio Albertini, Franco Baresi, Ruud Gullit, Frank Rijkaard, Marco van Basten — 1992
IT'S not difficult to see why this AC Milan side didn't concede many goals.
If you got past Van Basten and Gullit, you had Rjkaard — then Maldini, Baresi and Costacurta.
This Milan side went onto reached the first of three consecutive Champions League finals.
Arsenal: Thierry Henry, Nwankwo Kanu, Patrick Vieira, Tony Adams, Robert Pires, 2000
THIS Gunners side somehow managed to finish the campaign without a trophy.
Goals from Henry and Kanu had given Arsenal a 2-0 lead at Highbury.
Unfortunately, despite this wall containing, not only immense talent, but also height, Mehmet Scholl's free-kick flew over it and past David Seaman as the game against Bayern Munich finishes 2-2.
Brazil: Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Edmilson, Gilberto Silva, Lucio, Ronaldo — 2002
JUST imagine if this sixtet was standing over a dead ball and ready to strike.
Brazil won this match World Cup clash with Turkey 2-1.
But Rivaldo would make headlines later on in this contest , as he famously fell to the ground holding his head after the ball struck his leg.

THIS was is worth a whopping £142million to assemble.
Zidane, Figo and Beckham were free-kick masters who would have terrified any opposition when standing over a dead ball.
Between them, they won the Ballon d'Or four times, the Champions League four times and the World Cup three times.
Manchester United: Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo — 2003
YES, turning his back to the ball and covering his face is in fact Ronaldo, who completes the club's finest defensive wall.
All five were far more capable at the other end of the field.
And maybe it showed, as United lost 2-1 to Stuttgart in this clash.
AC Milan: Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf, Filippo Inzaghi, Kaka, Gennaro Gattuso — 2004
IT FELL down and they built it back up again.
Milan's success has always been based on a strong defence.
And that's highlighted here by the fact that none of the quintet is a defender.
Barcelona: Andres Iniesta, Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, Javier Mascherano, Thiago Alcantara — 2011
VILLARREAL were the team whose task it was to ensure the free-kick over the wall just avoid the risk of conceding at the other end.
Lionel Messi's height rules him out of ever standing in a wall, but this was the core of one of the greatest club sides in football history.
There are 14 Champions League medals in this picture.
