Wijnaldum, a £25million summer signing from Newcastle, missed Monday's goalless draw against Manchester United but he returned to training yesterday.

James Milner should also be OK after picking up a knock against United, while England star Adam Lallana also trained despite suffering with a slight groin strain.

Kop boss Jurgen Klopp said:  “In this moment there’s nothing really to moan about.

"A few kicks and things like this in the game and still felt after the game.

“Nobody is ruled out in the moment. Gini is on the way back, that’s good.

“If nothing happens today or tomorrow we have quite a big squad to choose from.”

Reds defender Joe Gomez, 19, also returned to training but he will not be considered as he has not played since last October.

Mamadou Sakho (Achilles)  is also on his way back to full fitness after training with Liverpool's kids.

The Frenchman has not featured so far this season after falling out with Klopp during the club's pre-season tour of America.

West Brom boss Tony Pulis is likely again to leave out Saido Berahino. The controversial frontman has been put on a tailored weight-loss programme.

England Under-21 ace Berahino, 23, was left out of the squad for Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Tottenham.
