JOSE TO KOP BEATING?

Liverpool vs Manchester United: SunSport reporters give their predictions for tonight’s Premier League showdown

Grudge match will see Jurgen Klopp's free-flowing Reds host bitter rivals with a chance to overtake leaders Manchester City

LIVERPOOL host Manchester United knowing they can go top with a 3-0 win over their bitter rivals.

Superstar bosses Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp go head to head for the sixth time, with the German edging the personal battle.

Phil Thomas: Liverpool 2 United 3

BOTH defences have clangers in them, so expect a few goals - and we all know how much Jose loves pricking the Anfield balloon. Remember THAT game, and THAT slip a couple of years back?

There are match winners aplenty littered throughout both line-ups, but I just feel United have more of them, and can see Zlatan Ibrahimovic and - as and when he gets his chance - Wayne Rooney having the biggest say.

Martin Lipton: Liverpool 2 United 0

FORM, quality and conviction will carry the day.

Liverpool are flying and their aggressive press will be too much for United.

Only a fool would discount a Mourinho team but at this stage Liverpool are far better and if they impose their game, they win.

Charlie Wyett: 1-1 draw

I'M expecting a good game but it could end up being quite tight as the two bosses try and cancel each other out.

Mourinho knows how to shut up shop if he needs to - especially in tricky ties like this one.

Paul Jiggins: Liverpool 4 United 1

LIVERPOOL have scored four and five in their last two home games - and I can see them going on a goal rampage again.
Klopp's Kop will have too much pace and energy for Mour's Bores.

Vikki Orvice: Liverpool to win 2-1.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S confidence seems to be sapping away amidst more changes and uncertainty under Jose Mourinho especially given the lack of form from skipper Wayne Rooney.

Klopp faced a similar situation last season after arriving at Anfield but now seems to have brought some stability and stamped his own mark on the team, which is being rewarded with results on the pitch.

Dan King: United to win

THE curse of the manager of the month award will strike Jurgen Klopp.

And Jose Mourinho to put the mockers on Liverpool's title ambitions again because it's not how the form book suggests, and games like this often defy expectations.

Klopp's talk of injuries sounds like a man getting his excuses in early.

Antony Kastrinakis: Draw

WHILE Liverpool will be easier on the eye they will flatter to deceive.

Mourinho knows he cannot afford an embarrassment at the home of the eternal rivals, particularly given his team's patchy start to the season. Expect tackles flying in from United.

Daniel Cutts: 2-1 Liverpool

THE Reds have been the best team in the Premier League so far this season, they're in scintillating form. United are struggling.
Jurgen Klopp has beaten Jose Mourinho in three of their five encounters, and he'll get the win again tonight.

Lee Astley: Liverpool 2 United 1

JURGEN KLOPP'S team have the home advantage - and they are in red hot form.
The Reds have won their last four Premier League games and even with United's brilliant record at Anfield I cannot see them picking up points with their inconsistent defence.

Toby Gannon: 2-0 Liverpool

JURGEN KLOPP has got his side playing ruthless, free-flowing football and United will struggle to adapt to the tempo at a roaring Anfield.
The Red Devils have stuttered so far this season and, unfortunately for them, are catching Liverpool on the back of four straight Premier League wins - soon to be five.
