Aaron Ramsey injury: Arsenal midfielder to go through full pre-season programme in bid to get Welshman fit
Ramsey has not played since the opening day of the season because of a hamstring problem
AARON RAMSEY is being put through a full pre-season training programme in a bid to finally get him back to fitness.
Ramsey has not played since damaging his hamstring in the opening game of the season defeat to Liverpool.
The Welsh midfielder has taken longer than expected to recover, and boss Arsene Wenger has decided to take him back to basic.
The Gunners are now prepared to wait longer to bring him back into the squad in order to make sure his body doesn't break down again.
Wenger said: "With Aaron it's a bit of a vicious circle.
"The longer that lasts, the more time you have to dedicate to build up his fitness again because he's been out for four weeks.

"Then you have to basically create a new three week preparation to get him up to the level he was before the injury.
"It's more the time it takes to rebuild his fitness.
"We have decided that we'll give him a complete pre-season even if he misses one or two more games."
