As you can see from the video, the 28-year-old bizarrely decided that losing should be met with severe consequences.

Luckily for the forward, this time there was no referee to reprimand him, meaning he could slap his friend in the luxury of his home.

In the clip, the Brazilian-born Spanish international delivers two-fingered slaps to his unlucky opponent, before diving into the kitchen and whipping out a wooden spoon.

The terrified friend looks bewildered as Costa teases him, before whacking him in the palm of his hand.

As his mate clearly feels the pain, the former Atletico Madrid star laughs maniacally behind him.

That's one person who never will challenge him again!

The Stamford Bridge hitman has been in imperious form this campaign, recently netting in Spain's 2-0 World Cup qualifier victory over Albania.

He has found the back of the net six times in seven Premier League fixtures as Chelsea settle to life under new boss Antonio Conte.

Next up for the Blues is a home tie against current champions Leicester City.
