MIKE PHELAN has finally been appointed as Hull boss with an announcement expected later today.
The Tigers had been without a permanent boss since Steve Bruce resigned before the start of the season.
But SunSport believes Phelan has now signed a £1.5million deal until the end of the season.

However, he is set to to lose a trio of key backroom staff members to Aston Villa.
Steve Bruce took over as Aston Villa boss yesterday and SunSport understands he is set to bring in coaches Stephen Clemence and Gary Walsh and fitness coach Will Royall to the Claret and Blues.
Bruce's former assistant Phelan, 54, was handed the reigns in July, but despite an impressive start to the season the ex-Manchester United No2 was unable to strike an agreement with the club to take over on a full-time basis.
