Zlatan Ibrahimovic urged to move to India by former team-mate and Delhi Dynamos manager Gianluca Zambrotta
Marketable Swede would be a coup for any developing league — but Italian insists Indian Super League would be ideal fit
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC is the subject of interest from Indian Super League side, Delhi Dynamos, if he decides on one last venture after Manchester United.
The Swede is one of the most marketable players on the planet — and would be a coup for developing leagues such as the MLS and the Chinese Super League.
And his former Juventus and AC Milan team-mate and current Deli Dynamos boss, Gianluca Zambrotta, has urged Ibrahimovic to move to India.
Speaking to the , he said: “Given his fan following in India, I think Zlatan would want to come and end his career here.
“On my end, I will definitely try and convince him to play for Delhi Dynamos.”
Ibrahimovic and Zambrotta were together in Turin for two seasons, winning Serie A titles in both.
However, a match-fixing scandal ended with Juventus relegated and the club stripped of the two championships.
Unwilling to spend a season in Serie B, the duo left for Inter Milan and Barcelona respectively.
They teamed up again at the San Siro five years later and won another league title under Max Allegri.

Zambrotta revealed it was another Juventus legend who convinced him to move to India.
Alessandro Del Piero played for Delhi Dynamos in the ISL’s first season.
Zambrotta added: “Del Piero told me good things about the club and their sincerity towards football, which convinced me that it is the perfect opportunity for me.”
