FOR many, the formation of the Premier League will feel like just a few years ago, for the younger generations, it's all they've ever known.
Whichever bracket you fall under, the Prem is celebrating its 25th birthday in the 2016-17 season.
From Blackburn Rovers as champions to, well, Leicester City as champions with the 'Big Four' era of domination in the middle, it's been action-packed from 1992 to present day.
To celebrate the milestone, SunSport is combining an all-time, Premier League best XI - asking you to cast the final vote.
Every day, we will be bringing you a new position and asking you to pick your favourite in a series of polls.
At the end of it all, we'll bring you the results; the definitive SunSport Premier League XI from 1992 to 2016.

ENJOYED arguably the best period of his career in the non-Premier League era, Barnes still featured in seven seasons from 1992 to 1999.
Often unstoppable during his Liverpool days, he also put in a productive season at Newcastle before a final hurrah at Charlton.
RYAN GIGGS

There's little to say about Welsh wizard Giggs that hasn't already been said, but he undoubtedly one of the all-time footballing greats.

FRENCH winger Ginola was one of the most exciting talents in the top flight for years during his time at Newcastle and Tottenham.
Two Player of the Month awards - one at each club - proved his undoubted skill, as he clocked up 195 appearances during seven seasons, including brief stints at Aston Villa and Everton.
MARC OVERMARS

HE may have only spent three seasons in the Premier League, but Overmars quickly established himself as a fan favourite in England.
Before his move to Barcelona, the flying Dutchman notched 100 appearances, 25 goals, 21 assists and one Premier League title. Not bad for a just three years.
JOE COLE

JOINING the Premier League in 1998 with West Ham, Cole spent five seasons at Upton Park before joining Chelsea, where he won an incredible three top flight titles.
Even after his time in west London, he showed glimpses of his skill at Liverpool and Aston Villa, sorely hampered by injuries. One thing we will never forget is the ex-England man's skill on the ball.
DAMIEN DUFF

ANOTHER player who was around Chelsea for the trophy-laden, early-era of Roman Abramovich, Duff won a pair of top flight titles at the Blues following five seasons at Blackburn.
Irish international Duff then went on to spend three seasons at Newcastle and five at Fulham, as he racked up 392 appearances and 54 goals spanning 16 seasons.
ROBERT PIRES

FRENCH winger Pires was part of a formidable line-up at Arsenal, as the Gunners went on to go unbeaten for the entire 2003-04 season en route to the second of his two Premier League titles.
Six seasons at Arsene Wenger's side between 2000 and 2006 preceded a late return to the top flight with Aston Villa for the 2010-11 season, as he went on to make just shy of 200 appearances, netting 62 goals.
GARETH BALE

FOLLOWING a season in the Championship with Southampton, Bale's sweet left foot caught the attention of Tottenham where he blossomed from a free-kick specialist, left-back into a world-beating forward.
Bale one three Player of the Month awards and one Player of the Season award - in 2012-13 - as he made 146 appearances for the White Hart Lane side, before Real Madrid came knocking with a world record offer.
DAVID SILVA

SOMEHOW already into his seventh season at Man City, Spaniard Silva has featured 192 times for the Etihad side across the attacking midfield trio, notching a whopping 58 assists to go with 35 goals.
Two Premier League titles in 2012 and 2014 were just rewards for Silva, with City going for another under Pep Guardiola in 2016-17.
EDEN HAZARD

THE Belgian forward has been much-maligned in the past 12 months for not living up to his incredibly high standards, but there can be no doubts that Hazard - particularly during 2014-15 - is a truly gifted player.
