Fans clash and seats thrown inside Carrow Road during Norwich’s 2-0 win over Millwall with police forced to intervene

FEUDING fans marred Norwich's 2-0 Championship win over Millwall as police and stewards swarmed in to intervene.

A handful of missiles - including SEATS - were thrown as closely-packed supporters skirmished in the Carrow Road stands.

But the raging few were booed by a larger number of supporters.

And peace was restored after security staff formed a dividing wall.

Fans on social media pointed the finger at travelling Lions' followers.

One said: "Chucking seats and fighting with police but saw no-one getting hauled out. Talk about living up to a reputation."

A Norwich supporter posted: "Millwall fans letting themselves down."

And another posted a clip alongside the words: "Millwall kicking off with the family end against Norwich. Hilarious."

One fan was pictured with his fingers sprawled over a steward's face amid angry shoving.

And a female member of security could be seen grimacing as she was caught in the middle of the shoving.

A handful of small objects also appeared to be thrown as aggressive chanting continued, but most supporters looked on stunned by the behaviour.

The disturbances, though, failed to dampen Norwich's delight at their second impressive victory in four days.

USA frontman Josh Sargent thumped a 50th minute opener and neatly slotted the clincher.

Millwall boss Gary Rowett felt Sargent had impeded Scott Malone in the build-up.

But the Lions were largely outplayed.

And Canaries keeper Tim Krul had little to do, except tip a long-ranger from Millwall sub Andreas Voglsammer onto the bar late on.
