ONE of the season’s biggest games is on the horizon.
Liverpool and Manchester United’s rivalry surpasses all others in the Premier League, with both sets of fans desperate to score points against the other.
Just three points separate the two teams in the table, although history suggests United have the upper hand after winning their last four league encounters.
However, Liverpool dumped United out of the Europa League last season, and Jurgen Klopp’s intense style of play could cause problems for Jose Mourinho’s men.
But both managers could be forced to shuffle their packs once again, with each team plagued by various injury problems.
Here, SunSport examines just who could miss out when two worlds collide at Anfield.

Liverpool: Adam Lallana
LALLANA has been one of the Reds’ outstanding performers this season but was forced off early on in the 2-1 win against Swansea.
The versatile midfielder has injured his groin and is unlikely to recover in time for the crunch clash.
Manchester United: Henrikh Mkhitaryan
UNITED fans are still waiting to see Mkhitaryan in action after his less-than-impressive performance in the defeat to Manchester City.
The Armenia captain is nursing a thigh muscle strain and may be left out for safety’s sake.
Liverpool: Nathaniel Clyne
CLYNE has been suffering with a knee problem for a couple of weeks.
The right-back failed to make Gareth Southgate’s England squad and looks certain to miss out against United.
Manchester United: Phil Jones
THE former Blackburn ace is definitely going to be missing after picking up a knee ligament injury.
Jones’ place in United’s squad is far from secure and he’ll be hoping to get a chance to impress once he bounces back to full fitness.
Liverpool: Georginio Wijnaldum
KLOPP'S smash-hit summer signing is a major doubt for the upcoming derby.
Wijnaldum picked up a hamstring injury during Holland's 1-0 defeat to France and could be set for a spell on the sidelines.
Liverpool: Dejan Lovren
LOVREN is another Liverpool player currently out with a groin strain.
The defender finally looks like his old self at the back and Klopp will be hoping he will be available to play alongside Joel Matip.
Manchester United: Luke Shaw
THE left-back missed out for England because he’s not ‘quite back fit yet’ – according to Gareth Southgate.
However, Jose Mourinho feels he is almost ready after suffering a groin injury and flu, although The Special One could keep with the more reliable Daley Blind instead.
Liverpool: Joe Gomez
BIG things are still expected of young Gomez, who is definitely out with an Achilles injury.
He missed almost all of last season and will be hoping history doesn’t repeat itself.
