Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero hopes to be fit to face Paraguay in World Cup qualifier after calf strain scare
SERGIO AGUERO has reassured Manchester City and Argentina fans after worries he could be out of crucial Premier League games with a calf strain.
Aguero is due to play in Argentina's World Cup qualifier against Paraguay on Tuesday - but had been a major doubt after a calf strain scare.
The forward picked up a twinge in training after his country's 2-2 draw with Peru, and was replaced after 73 minutes by Ever Banega.
But he has told fans to rest assured, saying: "Bauza has the decision: for Tuesday I hope to be available.
"I'm much better. After the Peru game I had two days to recover and (on Sunday) I played a little football.
"I'm better, we did test, I did well and I'm trying to get as fit as possible for Tuesday.
"You always want to play in the team and try to do your best. For now I feel good physically."
