Tottenham in huge blow as Oliver Skipp suffers gruesome training ground injury so grim that ‘team-mates couldn’t look’
TOTTENHAM have been handed a major injury blow after Oliver Skipp suffered a gruesome cut on his foot during training.
The 21-year-old midfielder was the victim of an "accidental stud impact" which left him requiring stitches.
According to , the injury left a number of his Spurs team-mates shaken up.
Many had to look away from the incident due to the unpleasant nature of the graphic nature of the injury
It is a knock for Antonio Conte's preparations, with just five days until they kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Southampton.
However, the Tottenham boss will be used to it at this point as Skipp, who started 14 league matches last season, missed the final four months of the campaign due to a pelvic problem.

And now he is a doubt for the club's Prem opener against Saints on Saturday.
But Conte does have strength in depth in the middle of the park.
His two regular starters from last season, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur, are both available.
New signing Yves Bissouma is also in contention for a starting place against Ralph Hasenhuttl's men.

And outcast Harry Winks remains in the squad as he is yet to force a move elsewhere.
Bissouma, who arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Brighton for £25million earlier this summer, is excited about the midfield pairings he can be a part of.
He said: “Of course [we will have good partnerships], because at training we train good.
"Pierre, Skippy, Roddy… every midfielder. We’re trying to train hard to be good. I think we’re good."
Spurs have already made six new signings this summer - Bissouma, Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence.
