Manchester City and Chelsea prepare bids for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as striker is set to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer
Gabon international striker to leave Germany with Premier League giants favourites to sign the hotshot in huge move
PIERRE-Emerick Aubameyang will start a £65million transfer scramble between Manchester City and Chelsea by leaving Borussia Dortmund next summer.
The German club are ready to allow the striker to leave at the end of the season after resisting all interest previously in their frontman.
Both City and Chelsea have a firm interest in the Gabon international, but they will face a fight with La Liga giants Real Madrid to lure him to the Premier League.
The 27-year-old would favour a move to the Spanish side, but the Champions League holders have a transfer ban imposed on them by Fifa that does not end until 2018.
Aubameyang, who has scored 87 times in 152 appearances, has already had Pep Guardiola’s City enquire about him last summer, although the north-west side did not make a bid.
Dortmund rebuffed the Citizens’ advances back in August having already lost key men Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mats Hummels during the transfer window.
