Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen scores as Holland cruise past Belarus while Switzerland grab late winner

Spurs' summer signing has yet to score in the league for Mauricio Pochettino's side but his second half strike will do wonders for his confidence.

The 22-year-old beat his defender and showed great pace before unleashing an unstoppable left foot strike into the top corner.

Spartak Moscow's Quincy Promes scored a brace before Belarus' Alexei Rios restored the deficit just after half time.

Davy Klaasen then put the game beyond Belarus before Janssen got in on the action leaving his side joint top with France and Sweden after two matches.

Sweden narrowly pulled through without the retired Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a 1-0 victory thanks to Celtic's Mickael Lustig goal against Luxembourg.

Elsewhere France fell behind against Belarus but Dimitri Payet inspired the home side to a 4-1 victory joining both Antoine Griezmann and Kevin Gameiro on the scoresheet.

A last minute winner by Valentin Stocker ensured Switzerland secured a dramatic 3-2 victory away in Hungary which leaves them top of Group B with two wins from two.

Second in that group and ahead of Portugal are Faroe Islands after they beat Latvia 2-0. Cristiano Ronaldo inspired Portugal to a 6-0 victory over Andorra with four goals.

Former Fulham striker Kostas Mitroglou scored in Greece's 2-0 victory over Cyprus whilst Estonia scored four second half goals to defeat Gibraltar.

And three Premier League players were on the scoresheet in Eden Hazard, Toby Alderweireld and Romelu Lukaku as Belgium crushed Bosnia.
