BABY JOY

I thought I had Covid, I couldn’t believe it when it turned out I was pregnant reveals Scotland Wag Summer Harl

SUMMER HARL has told of her surprise at finding out she was pregnant for the second time - as she thought she had Covid instead.

The TV presenter, partner of Hearts and Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon, announced the couple were expecting a new addition to the family earlier this year.

Their good news came after the pair welcomed their first child together last April when Ace was born.

Summer, who currently runs her own blog, has previously opened up about her struggles to conceive due to her being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

Taking to Instagram last night, she wrote: “I haven’t spoken much about this pregnancy on here - mostly due to the fact that I’m chasing a wild little boy around most (all) of the time.

“Over Christmas I started to feel dizzy. The room would spin and I felt like something wasn’t right.

“I went for a PCR test thinking that perhaps I had Covid. I didn’t.

“I took a test of a different kind and a faint little cross appeared.”

Summer continued: “I was still breastfeeding and wasn’t sure how PCOS would affect any future pregnancies so I packed another test in my suitcase and was so unconvinced that I forgot about it until the last day when we were packing to come home.

“Did the test. Positive. Wasn’t sure I believed it.

“More tests at home, more positives.

“Went to see our old consultant and there he was. Happy New Year to us.

“I wasn’t sure what would happen after having Ace.

“We spoke over Christmas about adding to our family later on in the year, and it was definitely something we were going to try.

“But all along baby boy had his own ideas and wanted to join us sooner.

“Now we’re getting closer to meeting him and this will always feel so special.

“To anyone who messaged me about their journey before, or anyone worried or wondering about their situation - with or without PCOS - I hope this helps.

“Anything can happen.”
