Hannibal branded ‘next Robbie Savage’ as Man Utd fans claim he is ‘only on pitch to scrap’ after Ashley Young tussle
MANCHESTER UNITED's Hannibal Mejbri has been branded "the next Robbie Savage" after he tussled with Ashley Young in a friendly.
The Red Devils and Aston Villa played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Perth and Hannibal's hot-headed performance left United fans excited.
One said he was "only on the pitch to scrap" after he clashed with multiple Villa players, including former United winger Young.
Hannibal also shoved Douglas Luiz off the ball during another scrappy exchange.
The performance is just the latest sign that Hannibal's competitive streak likes to come to the surface - and Man United fans were absolutely loving it.
One person on Twitter compared him to Robbie Savage, the now retired midfielder who came through United's academy before enjoying a nomadic career where he was never far from trouble.

Ironically, Savage's actual son Charlie has featured frequently for Manchester United in pre-season but was an unused sub in this game.
Like the older Savage, Hannibal's performance left fans believing he enjoyed the physical side of the game, with one fan writing on Twitter that they were "99% sure Hannibal is just put on the pitch to scrap, fair enough".
Another wrote: "Hannibal had no interest in calling that a friendly."
While a Man United fan site declared on Twitter: "Hannibal is just an absolute magnet for pissing people off," with another fan replying "You know what? I love it".

Fans have previously told of how much they love Hannibal's battling nature and hope he will be in Erik ten Hag's plans for the season ahead.
The youngster also once had to be reportedly pulled away from Alex Telles after the two came together in training back in May.
The heated exchanged is believed to have happened days after United's embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Brighton.
