AC MILAN'S prodigious young keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has stolen a march on Marcus Rashford, Renato Sanches and Dele Alli in the Golden Boy awards.
The 17-year-old goalie has burst on to the scene this year - but has he got his gloves on the prize previously won by the likes of Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi and Paul Pogba.
But , the Italian publication that began the award in 2003, has conducted an online poll - and Donnarumma came out on top, but he has pipped a surprise contender into second place.
Celtic's Moussa Dembele - who put in a scintillating performance against Man City last week - is in second on the poll, by only 130 votes.
The online ballot was taken by over 34,000 football fans.
But this poll is only a dress rehearsal - it all counts for nought on the official award, with journalists from the world's top newspapers voting on the best young talent in Europe.
