Arsenal star Lucas Torreira recalled for their US tour and will get chance to impress despite Juventus transfer interest
ARSENAL midfielder Lucas Torreira WILL be involved in the club's pre-season tour of the US amid interest from Juventus.
The 26-year-old Uruguayan has not featured for the Gunners since the 2019/20 campaign as he has spent the last two seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid and Fiorentina.
Both Torreira and Fiorentina appeared keen to make the loan permanent, but the Serie A side failed to meet Arsenal's £12.5million asking price.
According to journalist , fellow Italian club Juventus are "closely monitoring" Torreira's situation.
Juve boss Max Allegri is said to have already asked about the midfielder's availability back in May.
However, understand that speculation surrounding his departure from the Emirates has not prevented him from being included in Mikel Arteta's plans for their American tour.

They then return to England to take on Sevilla in the Emirates Cup final, before kicking off the Premier League season on Friday, August 5 away at Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, speaking recently about Torreira's future, his agent Pablo Bentancur told Sport Italia: “Lucas to Juventus?
"In fact, he would like to stay and play in Italy, but today, Arsenal has called him up for the tour they will do in America, so he seems to be part of the program.”

Bentancur's comments come after Torreira discussed his own transfer situation just last week.
He said: “There is no chance [of me staying at Arsenal].
“From the beginning, they told me that I had no place, so I don’t want to stay either because I suffered a lot.
“It cost me a lot to adapt and my idea is to now go to Italy, or Spain."
Torreira, who arrived for £26m from Sampdoria in 2018, has made 89 appearances for Arsenal, scoring four goals and winning the FA Cup back in 2020.
