And now he is closing in on a second spell with Juventus - six years after leaving the Italian giants.

But despite having left Juve for Man Utd back in 2016, supporters of The Old Lady greeted the return of the midfielder with open arms.

As he arrived in Turin for his medical, Juventus fans lined the streets to greet him.

And the World Cup winner looked ecstatic to be back at a club where he thrived for four seasons.

It came just 24 hours after he was also mobbed when landing in Italy on a private jet.

Pogba won the Serie A title in each of his campaigns in Italy before returning to Man Utd for £89million.

But it never truly clicked for him at Old Trafford.

And he confirmed in his recent documentary that he turned down a £14m per year contract to stay with the Red Devils.

However, he has now agreed a deal with Juve worth a reported £8m per annum.

That means Pogba has taken a £6m pay cut in order to leave Man Utd, presumably to try and recover his form.

The Frenchman looks set to be a part of a much-changed Juventus team next season.

Angel di Maria has already put pen to paper on a free transfer after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

And Bayern Munich full-back Benjamin Pavard is also being linked with a move to the Allianz Stadium.

Juve won nine Serie A titles in a row between 2012 and 2020.

But that run came to an end in 2021 when Antonio Conte's Inter Milan scooped their first scudetto in more than a decade.

And then last season AC Milan lifted the title, narrowly pipping rivals Inter as Juve finished in fourth.
