ARSENAL goalkeeper Matt Turner had a first half to forget on his debut against Nurnberg in Germany.
The 28-year-old, who joined from MLS side New England Revolution, started for the Gunners in their pre-season clash against the Bundesliga 2 outfit.
But the USA international failed to impress for his boyhood side after conceding twice in the opening 45 minutes.
Nurnberg took the lead in the 24th minute through Johannes Geis, with his effort from range cannoning off the underside of the bar.
Though replays showed Turner should have done better to keep out the swerving strike as it was right down the middle of the goal.
Just five minutes later, Arsenal conceded again as Kwadwo Duah raced through one-on-one before rifling a shot low into the bottom left corner.

Another commented: "Matt Turner... it may be too early to slander him but I'm not liking the look of things."
This supporter joked: "Matt Turner is the new Mustafi."

Meanwhile one simply stated: "Get out of my beautiful club Matt Turner."
Another posted: "Won’t judge players by pre-season games but Matt Turner looks suspect."
This fan tweeted: "Matt Turner is 30 minutes into his Arsenal career and let two goals in. I am not joking, he is a disaster."
Turner kept his place for the second half despite Mikel Arteta ringing the changes, with Gabriel Jesus scoring his first Arsenal goal after just 90 seconds.
Jesus would add a second later on the match as the Gunners completed a remarkable turnaround to win 5-3.
