Arsenal transfer news: Hector Bellerin could reject new long-term deal at Emirates and move to Manchester City
HECTOR BELLERIN could snub a new deal at Arsenal and move to Manchester City, according to reports.
The Times suggest the Spaniard wants to switch to the Gunners Premier League rivals in the summer.
Arsene Wenger is trying to persuade Bellerin, 21, to commit his future to the Gunners and sign a new five-year deal.
And they would even double his wages of £50,000-a-week.
Bellerin - who is rated at £40million - has established himself as one of the best defenders in the world since bursting onto the scene 18 months ago.
An injury to Mathieu Debuchy saw the youngster brought in at right-back and he quickly cemented himself as Wenger's first-choice.
Pep Guardiola is known to be an admirer of Bellerin and feels he would fit into his system well.

But Wenger will fight tooth and nail to make sure another one of his stars doesn't move to the Etihad.
Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor, Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri have all moved to the two-time Premier League champions in recent years.
But it is not just City who are after Bellerin - Barcelona are known to be targeting their former player.
Barca vice president Jordi Mestre recently heaped praise on Bellerin and indicated the Catalan club would be making a move in the summer.
He said: “We’ve already seen him as a Cule! He’s a great player, there’s no doubt about that.
“Wenger convinced him to move [in 2011] and promised him something which we couldn’t.
“We could not promise him that within two years he would be playing in Dani Alves’ place.”
