Chelsea transfer news: Thibaut Courtois insists he will NOT leave Stamford Bridge for Spain until he wins more trophies with the Blues
Belgian keeper's future is up in the air after he last month revealed he relishes a move back to La Liga
THIBAUT Courtois has played down speculation linking him with a Chelsea exit.
The former Atletico Madrid keeper last month revealed his desire to return to Spain.
But he insists he has no immediate plans to leave Stamford Bridge.
Courtois, 24, told : "I understand the commotion with the Chelsea fans, but I just meant [in the Marca interview] that I want to return to Spain one day but it can also be after my career.
"I'm happy to be at Chelsea. For how long we will see, but now I want to win prizes with this club."
Courtois won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Europa League and the Uefa Super Cup during his three-year loan stint at Atletico.
In the 2013-14 season he helped steer Atletico to the Champions League final, but the Spanish side were beaten 4-1 in extra time by city rivals Real.

But after a shaky season last year, and a poor start this campaign - in which last week he was revealed to be statistically the worst keeper in the Prem - Courtois' future is up in the air.
Manchester City reject Joe Hart - currently on a season-long loan at Torino - has emerged as a possible replacement for Courtois after Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was spotted watching the Serie A club in action on Sunday.
