NEW Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate will be hoping it is a sign of things to come as England Under-17s smashed Germany 8-1 on Monday.
The outrageous result will raise eyebrows around the world as a number of the country’s hottest young talents ran riot against their German counterparts to win the Croatia Cup.
Manchester United wonderkid Angel Gomes kicked off the scoring for Steve Cooper’s side, and he was one of seven kids to find the target.
Incredibly, England found the target six times in the first half alone, leaving the Germans bewildered.
Gomes got the action started after only four minutes before Manchester City’s Jadon Sancho added a second moments later.
