JOHN TERRY will not feature for Chelsea against Hull after failing to recover from an ankle injury in time.
The Blues have had a defensive crisis in recent games, shipping three against Arsenal and two at home to Liverpool.
Manager Antonio Conte confirmed the centre back will not be available for the Blues trip to Yorkshire, despite the fact that he had initially hoped Terry would be available for their 3-0 defeat at Arsenal.
The 35-year-old is understood to be part of the Blues' defensive overhaul as he enters the twilight years of his career.
