JUST LET ME GO

‘Something died inside of me’ – Wantaway Lewandowski warns Bayern they will attract NO stars after treatment of him

RAGING Robert Lewandowski claims no players will want to join Bayern unless they let him leave.

The Barcelona target says 'something died inside of me' due to how he's been treated, which will put top stars off moving to the German champs.

Bayern have so far rejected the 33-year-old legend's transfer request, despite pursuing Liverpool's Sadio Mane as a potential replacement.

And the Poland striker told Sport Onet: "What kind of player will want to go to Bayern knowing that something like this could happen to them?

"Where are the loyalty and respect then?

"I just want to leave Bayern. They didn't want to listen to me until the end. Something died inside me and it's impossible to get over that.

"No other offers were even considered by me other than that of Barcelona. I want to leave Bayern, that’s clear."

But despite rebuking the ten-time Bundesliga winner for publicly pleading to go, Bayern have reportedly upped a bid for Senegal frontman Mane to £30m.

It's understood they initially offered £21m plus £4.6m if they won the Champions League.

But Liverpool want closer to around £42.5m for the 30-year-old.

Meanwhile, Lewandowski says he still wants a harmonious exit from Bayern.

He said: "During so many years at the club I was always ready, available, despite injuries and the pain, I gave my best.

"I think the best thing to do is to find a good solution for both sides.

"And not to look for a one-sided decision... that makes no sense, not after so much time, after such a successful era and with my will and support."
