Tammy Abraham called up to replace Marcus Rashford in England U21s squad
BRISTOL CITY's on-loan goal machine rewarded with promotion as Manchester United ace looks set for senior return
TAMMY ABRAHAM has received his first call-up to the England Under-21s squad to replace Marcus Rashford.
Aidy Boothroyd, who fills the U21 manager’s position vacated by new England boss Gareth Southgate following the Sam Allardyce scandal, has named a 22-man party for upcoming Euro qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Manchester United striker Rashford looks certain to return to the senior side after Boothroyd left the teen hotshot out of his squad.
But he will be hoping the free-scoring Abraham can make a similar impact to Rashford’s hat-trick for the U21s earlier this month when he joins up with the Young Lions next week.
Abraham is joint-top scorer in the Championship for Bristol City after joining the Robins on-loan from Chelsea in the summer and has ten goals in total so far.
