Mane scored a hat-trick in his nation's 3-1 win, and was predictably asked about his future at club level.

The inquest comes after it was reported that the star would be looking to leave Liverpool after six years at Anfield.

Mane has 120 goals for the Reds, including a pair of big goals in this season's Champions League semi-finals.

However, rumours of a rift between the 30-year-old and Mohamed Salah have failed to go away over the last couple of seasons.

While Salah's immediate future is also not clear, Mane's mindset is well documented to this point.

It had been widely speculated that Bayern were the hot favourites to secure Mane's signature, although his post-match interview may have cast some doubt over that.

: "Bayern and Barca? Both teams are good. But I'm not a fan of those teams, you know. My favourite team is Marseille."

The French side were the best of the rest behind runaway winners Paris Saint-Germain last season, with them securing their place in the Champions League for next year.

They may well be looking to add to their firepower too, with former West Ham man Dimitri Payet leading the way in both goals and assists.

Bayern will still be hopeful of securing the deal however, with attackers Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry both rumoured to be moving on.
