Oliver Kahn blasts Robert Lewandowski after striker says he doesn’t see ‘any possibility’ at staying at Bayern Munich

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI has been slammed by Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn after the striker publicly announced his plans to depart.

The 33-year-old has just one year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena and has made it clear he will not be extending his stay.

Barcelona have been heavily linked with a move for the Polish forward, with the player said to be willing to take a £100,000-a-week pay cut in order to sign for the LaLiga giants.

It has been claimed that the ex-Borussia Dortmund marksman has already agreed a three-year contract at the Nou Camp.

Blaugrana boss Xavi has confirmed talks are taking place to bring Lewandowski to Spain, but has admitted it will be difficult to secure his services.

And now Lewandowski has declared that he has no desire to play for the Bavarian outfit anymore as he demanded a transfer away from Germany.

Speaking on international duty, he remarked: "My era at Bayern is over. I don't see any possibility to continue playing for this club anymore.

“Bayern’s a serious club and I believe they won’t keep me, I don't want to play there anymore.

"A transfer is the best solution. I hope they don't stop me”.

His comments have angered Bayern chief and legend Kahn, who retired at the club in 2008 after 14 years of service.

Speaking to , he raged: "I can't tell you why Robert chose this path.

"Public statements like that don't get you anywhere.

"Robert became world footballer here twice in a row – I think he should know what he has at Bayern.”
