Sam Allardyce: The FA must sack Big Sam after scandal, says ex-Liverpool ace Dietmar Hamann
'A German manager wouldn’t think twice about doing what Sam Allardyce has done. It wouldn’t be accepted'
FORMER Liverpool man Dietmar Hamann has had some damning words for Sam Allardyce in his most recent blog.
The German, 43, says that if the FA want to keep any shred of credibility, they HAVE to get rid of him.
It is understood that the FA feel they have no choice but sacking Big Sam, who has told friends he fears for the exit after being caught trying to land a £400,000 deal.
Hamman wrote in his blog for Paddy Power: “A German manager wouldn’t think twice about doing what Sam Allardyce has done. It wouldn’t be accepted and it simply wouldn’t happen.
“The footage of Allardyce that the Telegraph has revealed beggars belief. The FA have to show leadership, and they have to show strength. They are coming off the back of a disastrous European championship and now they have to make a change. If they keep Sam Allardyce in charge, that's all their credibility gone.
“Can you really have an England manager who is willing to talk to a third party firm, and tell them how to get around FA rules on player transfers? It would be no surprise if the FA called it a day and sacked Allardyce - and I would have no sympathy whatsoever.
