'We're not at the circus'

Liverpool star Mamadou Sakho blasted by French legends for 3am Snapchat rant

Christophe Dugarry and Emmanuel Petit slam defender for cticising Jurgen Klopp in public and hint at end of Anfield career

MAHMADOU SAKHO’S 3am Snapchat rant belongs in a circus, according to France legend Christophe Dugarry.

The defender stunned fans by criticising Jurgen Klopp for his lack of playing time this season.

But 55-cap Dugarry claimed Sakho – who was sent home from the Reds’ pre-season tour – should have kept his concerns private.

He told : “He doesn’t need to talk to his fans, he needs to talk to his coach.

“What is he doing talking to his fans at three in the morning? With emojis and all that? We don’t give a s***.

“We’re not at the circus. If you have a problem, go talk to your coach, find a solution, solve the problem.”

Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit echoed Dugarry’s criticism – and claimed Sakho, 26, may see himself leaving Anfield soon.

He added: “It’s a shame. I think it’s another outburst from him, and it could be fatal.”

In a series of five pictures posted to his Snapchat story, Sakho wrote: “Now it’s three weeks I am fit to play games. I finish all my rehabilitation work.

“They don’t want me to play also with second team lol! Why i don’t know.

“Still working hard like Scouse Soldier! Still not talking because I want to speak on the pitch… I will speak soon for the people who support me and don’t understand the situation.

“Still happy to live in my “Liverpool Country” with my family, hope to have a chance to play soon to give my best like I try to do always!

“I accept my situation but I can’t accept the lie… The fans deserve to know the truth! Thanks for your support.

“Six months [I] stay quiet… Have a good night everybody! You Never Walk Alone”

Jurgen Klopp hinted Mamadou Sakho was a long way off returning to the team

After their 5-1 thrashing of Hull, Klopp said: “The thing is I was kind of confronted with this, somebody told me this morning there was something I should know about. Actually on a match day I’m really in a completely wrong mood to think about things like this.

“I know something was on the thing that neither of us use (Snapchat).

“But it’s not the right moment to speak about it. Most of the times in life in makes sense to think about something and then it’s more likely that you give the right answer.

“It’s not positive I would say.

“I will address the situation when I think it’s the right moment. I haven’t decided when that is yet. But it’s not Christmas.”

Klopp is favouring Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren as his centre-backs, with Ragnar Klavan, Lucas Leiva and Joe Gomez available as cover.
