He faces the axe just SIX fixtures into the Premier League season with West Ham lying in the relegation zone.

Hammers chiefs are losing patience with Bilic after they were hammered 3-0 at home to Southampton yesterday.

A Hammers source said: “If there wasn’t a win after these three games the decision would have to be made.

“He is set to get players back and that will help a lot. Draws won’t be good enough for him though.

“But you can’t go on losing game after game without having to make a big decision.

“We cannot be in a position by Christmas where we are playing a serious catch up game.”

West Ham have only won one of their last six matches in all competitions, and were knocked out of the Europa League during qualifying.

Bilic joined the Irons in 2015 and steered them to a seventh-place finish in the Premier League.

But since their move to the London Stadium, they have been on a disastrous run of results.

The club’s move to the former Olympic Stadium has been marred with crowd trouble and fans fighting between themselves.

Bilic – who has also managed Croatia and Besiktas – has a 40.32 win per cent at West Ham, the lowest of his managerial career.
