Kevin de Bruyne faces missing at least three weeks with hamstring injury as Manchester City attacker flies to Barcelona for tests

Belgium star sidelined for Champions League clash at Celtic and leaders' showdown at second-placed Spurs on Sunday

KEVIN DE BRUYNE fears he will be out for a month after injuring his hamstring.

The £54million Manchester City star, 25,  had scans at the Etihad yesterday.

He is due to fly to Barcelona today for more tests and begin treatment but seems certain to be sidelined for at least three weeks.

KDB will miss Wednesday’s Battle of Britain Champions League clash at Celtic and unbeaten City’s Premier League showdown at  second-placed Tottenham on Sunday.

City have also told Belgium boss Roberto Martinez that De Bruyne will not be available for next month’s World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia and Gibraltar.

De Bruyne limped off nine minutes from the end of Saturday’s 3-1 victory at Swansea — City’s sixth win in a row in the league and tenth in all competitions this term.

He has been in outstanding form for City this season and boss Pep  Guardiola remains hopeful he could have him  back quickly after the inter- national break as they face another run of crunch  matches.

City play Barcelona twice in the Champions League and also have the EFL Cup derby against Manchester United — all in a 13-day period.

De Bruyne’s Belgium and City team-mate Vincent Kompany is also  crocked again with a groin problem, although signs are it is not  serious.
