NEYMAR may have helped Barcelona batter Sporting Gijon 5-0 - but their fans still love him.
The Brazil superstar scored twice at El Molinon after Luis Suarez, Rafinha and Arda Turan began the La Liga rout.
And after the game, Neymar made his way over to a section of the home fans and handed his shirt to one adoring supporter.
The Gijon fan was amazed as he hugged the 24-year-old striker after the full-time whistle.
The selfless supporter then gave the jersey to a pal in the stand, who could not contain himself as he broke down in tears.
Neymar's heartwarming gesture would have softened the blow of defeat for the Gijon faithful.
Suarez rounded keeper Ivan Cuellar for the first before Rafinha doubled the lead with a diving header before the break.
Alberto Lora was then sent off for the hosts after being shown another yellow card for a challenge on Sergi Roberto.
Neymar then latched onto a rebounded shot and calmly finished before Turan headed home with five minutes left.
With just two minutes left on the clock, Neymar made it five after slotting in Denis Suarez' pass.
Barca now sit just one point off fierce rivals Real Madrid in the La Liga table on 13 points.
The Spanish giants next face Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League on Wednesday.
