NEW Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has asked not to be distracted with club Ajax locked in a title battle with rivals PSV.

United chiefs are not to bother Ten Hag 48 hours before he takes charge of Ajax games.

, Ten Hag made the request during the negotiations before he agreed to a three-year deal to take charge at the end of the season.

Defending champions Ajax are currently sat four points clear of PSV at the top of the Eredivise with four games to go.

Winning the league title is Ten Hag's last chance of winning silverware with Ajax having crashed out of the Champions League to Benfica and losing the KNVB Cup final to PSV.

The report also states that current United squad members are already doing their research on Ten Hag.

Players are said to be reaching out to former Man Utd ace Daley Blind, who currently plays under Ten Hag.

Blind has been passing on information about his fellow Dutchman, including his strict rules for players and his tactical preferences.

Ten Hag's willingness to put the team ahead of individuals was also stressed and his decision to drop top scorer Sebastien Haller for Brian Brobbey ahead of the Cup final was pointed out.

When Ten Hag touches down at Old Trafford, United are expected to be heavily involved in the transfer market.

Paulo Dybala is reportedly a target for Ten Hag and he can be picked up for FREE this summer when his contract with Juventus expires.

Current interim manager Ralf Rangnick is expected to be heavily involved in the recruitment process once he moves into an advisory role.

Rangnick has agreed to work six days a month whilst also managing international side Austria.
