Wanda Icardi insists Mauro had to quit Inter Milan over claims she was cheating on him with Marcelo Brozovic

MAURO ICARDI'S wife Wanda Nara has slammed fake reports claiming she had an affair with his former Inter Milan team-mate Marcelo Brozovic.

The 35-year-old stated in court on Wednesday that untrue rumours spread by gossip monger Fabrizio Corona forced Icardi out of Inter in 2019.

Icardi joined Paris Saint-Germain on an initial loan deal that summer, with the French club having the obligation to turn his temporary switch into a permanent stay.

And Wanda has insisted that Corona's lies that she cheated on him with Brozovic saw her kids bullied, while she alleged her husband was told he had to leave the Italian club.

Wanda, who infamously hooked up with Icardi after leaving first husband Maxi Lopez, delivered an emotional statement when she appeared as a witness against Corona.

Corona published on his site in 2019 details of Wanda's alleged affair, which included an audio clip meant to be of her with Brozovic.

Speaking in court, Wanda, who is rumoured to have sex with Icardi up to 12 times a day, said: "I never had a relationship with Marcelo Brozovic.

"We are a traditional family and this story caused us problems, both within the family and outside.

"My children went to school and they were bullied, it caused problems for my husband and for me, seeing as I am his agent. Nothing in the story is true."

She added: "That story started all the problems and Mauro was forced to change club. Inter really made this situation weigh on him.

"They told him he had to move on, he had to change agent, they took away the captain’s armband and I don’t think it was due to his performances on the pitch.

Wanda and Icardi are back on track with their eight-year marriage after a turbulent 2021.

The couple were involved in a public spat when she accused her husband of cheating with an Argentine model.

A brief break is then rumoured to have followed before the PSG ace won his wife back, penning a loving letter to ease the tension between them.
