West Ham ‘want Everton centre-back Michael Keane in summer transfer if Toffees are relegated from Premier League’

WEST HAM are interested in signing Everton defender Michael Keane, according to reports.

The Hammers are looking to improve their squad this summer, having opted against making any January acquisitions.

If Everton are relegated, they could look to raid them for Keane.

According to the , David Moyes is a big fan of the centre-back.

They add that the Toffees would charge a sizeable £20million sum for the 29-year-old defender.

Keane arrived at Goodison from Burnley in a £25m deal back in 2017.

During his time on Merseyside he has won 12 England caps, but has fallen out of the international fold in recent seasons.

Keane has struggled for form this season, appearing to lack confidence in error-strewn performances.

He was initially dropped for Sunday's Merseyside derby, although came in to start after Ben Godfrey picked up an injury in the warm-up.

The Everton ace put in an improved display at the back that would have impressed Moyes.

Keane has made 34 appearances in all competitions this season for the Toffees.

In total he has played 182 times for Everton, scoring ten times.

He played alongside Hammers defender Kurt Zouma during the 2018-19 campaign.

The Frenchman spent that season loan at Everton from Chelsea, before going on to join West Ham last summer.
