LOUIS VAN GAAL is reportedly set for a return to management four months after being sacked by Manchester United.
The Dutchman received the chop in May despite having a year left on his contract as the Red Devils plumped for Jose Mourinho instead.
Van Gaal has kept a low profile since his Old Trafford exit but reports in Germany claim he is set to take over at struggling Werder Bremen.
The Bundesliga club are bottom of the table after losing their first four matches, scoring just three goals and conceding 14.
Viktor Skrypnyk was relieved of his duties earlier this week, and the alleges Van Gaal will step in for the upcoming relegation battle.
The 69-year-old has previous experience in Germany, having led Bayern Munich to the title in 2010.
