EDDIE HOWE can do no wrong at Newcastle - just ask Joelinton.

But just as in the past when playing upfront for the Magpies, he was making little impact at Carrow Road.

He switched around Joelinton and Allan Saint-Maximin who had been playing on the left wing.

It clearly caught dozy Norwich on the hop.

Within minutes Joelinton had struck twice and Newcastle were on their way to a fourth straight Premier League win for the first time in four years.

His 35th-minute opener was a rising right-foot blast from just inside the box that survived a VAR inspection for offside.

Six minutes later Joelinton doubled the visitors' lead with a sliding finish at the back post from a right-sided pass from Jacob Murphy - recalled to the starting line-up by Howe.

Toon piled on the misery for rock-bottom Norwich with Bruno Guimaraes making it 3-0 on 51 minutes.

It was a shambles of goal to concede, summing up the clueless Canaries.

Ex-Newcastle keeper Tim Krul received the ball from City centre-back Christoph Zimmerman and tried to play out to Kenny McLean.

Instead the Dutch international's awful pass went straight to Guimaraes who clipped the deftest of chips into the Norwich net.

It could have been even worse for the hosts - and even better for Joelinton.
