Zinedine Zidane says he is not worried about Cristiano Ronaldo after he failed to find the net against Villarreal
ZINEDINE ZIDANE insists he is not worried by Cristiano Ronaldo's form.
The Real Madrid hitman failed to score against Villarreal as the La Liga leaders dropped points for the first time in 17 matches.
But Zidane believes it should not always be down to the Euro 2016 winner to produce the goals for Real.
Zidane said: "With regards to Cristiano, he was an important player for us against Villarreal, as he always is.
"I am not worried if he does not score. It is important that he is out there on the pitch for us. I am worried when he is not out on the pitch.
"The most important thing for him is to regain his form, because he will always get you goals. He is always keen to get his name on the scoresheet."
Ronaldo was only making his third appearance of the season in the midweek draw.
The Real skipper was injured in the Euros final after a tackle from Dimitri Payet forced him off.
Ron then returned for the 11-time Champions League winners in the 5-2 victory against Osasuna where he scored on his return.
He then led Real out against his former club Sporting Lisbon where he once again netted in a 2-1 win.
