Dominic Calvert-Lewin transfer news – odds: Newcastle lead race for Everton man, Chelsea, West Ham and Arsenal trail
NEWCASTLE are leading the race to sign Everton and England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin
That's according to bookmakers Sky Bet, who make the Toon 5/2 favourites to land the big striker in this window.
SKY BET:
Newcastle were odds-on to sign DCL in the summer when his Everton future looked unclear.
Since then, he's had a stop-start return to action this campaign in a toiling Toffees side.
It was hoped his return to action would kickstart the Frank Lampard era, though it hasn't worked out that way yet.
With Lampard gone, Calvert-Lewin could look to follow suit with back-to-back 90 minute games under his belt.
Despite having not scored since October, he is likely to attract attention with just over two years left on his deal.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin next club odds
Sky Bet odds
- Newcastle 5/2
- Chelsea 7/1
- West Ham 8/1
- Arsenal 10/1
- Sheff Utd 10/1
- Man Utd 12/1
- Liverpool 16/1
SKY BET:
And Newcastle are still favourites to add Calvert-Lewin to their frontline as they chase a top four spot.
They recently let Chris Wood go out on loan so could be looking to fill that spot behind Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak.
Chelsea (7/1) and West Ham (8/1) are also lacking striking options and could move for the 25-year-old.
Arsenal are making do without Gabriel Jesus at present but could opt for a move for Calvert-Lewin and are 10/1, the same odds as former side Sheffield United.
Manchester United and rivals Liverpool are the outsiders at 12/1 and 16/1, respectively.
